Viking Rise

Season 1 · Svartalfheim

Always and Never

The habits that win a season and the mistakes that lose one. Print this one.

Always
  1. Empty the Infirmary before every fight. Overflow troops die.
  2. Spend Healing Potions before they hit the cap. 2 potions heal 1% of your heavily wounded, free.
  3. Save each resource for its prep stage: Energy for Trials and Prevention, troops for Enlistment, forge materials for Jewel Crafting.
  4. Send all five marches at every Trials beetle. Each one counts.
  5. Turn on Automatic Rally overnight during Prevention.
  6. Fight on your own tribe territory. It buffs you and protects your city.
  7. Move as a group. Advance together, retreat together.
  8. Win the counter first: Archers beat Pikemen, Pikemen beat Infantry, Infantry beat Archers.
  9. Be in place before a Chronicle chapter ends. The first tribe on a new building gets it.
  10. Spend the Supply Shop before the season ends. Whatever is left is lost.
Never
  1. Never attack an enemy army alone, or attack someone stronger than you. You are handing them kill points.
  2. Never hit a Flag or Fort by hand. Rally it.
  3. Never scout or attack right before logging off. Combat blocks teleporting and shielding for a while.
  4. Never join a rally at an attacked Flag from your own Flag. Move one Flag back first; if it burns, you burn.
  5. Never attack before the command, and never follow allies who jump early.
  6. Never half-gather a resource point. It scores nothing.
  7. Never share an arena with another tribe. Neither of you scores while both are on it.
  8. Never change tribes inside Svartalfheim unless you are ready to pay a Relocator out and come back.
  9. Never strip your home kingdom's Divine Realms. Their bonuses work inside Svartalfheim.
  10. Never leave the map early. Resources and XP are better there, and points stop only at the end.

When a fight goes wrong

  • Outmatched in the field: retreat to pull them off the battlefield, or duck into a tribe Flag or Fort so the attacker turns back. Entering a resource point drops their focus, but you can still be attacked there.
  • City under attack: shield up if you can, and tell your R4s.
  • Territory cut: your city is sent back to your kingdom's starting area. Move back onto tribe territory with the tribe.
