Surtr’s Flames: Battalions
A Battalion is a group of Tribes inside one Team, and in Muspelheim it is the unit that holds Ruins. Its Ruins give every member their buffs, its points decide the Occupation Achievement, and its Ruins set your Season Summon count.
Do this
- Join a Battalion as soon as the Chronicles let you. “You can only join or leave a Battalion after reaching a certain Stage in the Chronicles.”
- Stay in it. Leaving is gated the same way.
- Reinforce and rally with your Battalion. Battalion members can reinforce and rally with one another.
- Take Ruins as a Battalion. Every Ruin's buff goes to all members of the Battalion that holds it.
- Shelter with your Battalion. You can relocate to the Cities of Tribes in your Battalion, and there members of other Teams cannot attack you.
The rule, in the game's words
Battalion Introduction: “Within Muspelheim, you can only join or leave a Battalion after reaching a certain Stage in the Chronicles. Battalion members can Reinforce and Rally with one another, and share Ruins bonuses. Tribe members can relocate to Cities of Tribes in the same Battalion for protection, as they will be immune to attacks from members of other Teams there.”

Rallies
A rally on a Town is a Rally Battalion, and Battalion members rally with one another.
For tribe leaders
- Agree on your Battalion with the other Tribes of your Team before the Chronicles stage that opens joining.
- Give each Battalion a Ruin to hold to the end; the Occupation Achievement and the Season Summon both pay on it.
Don't
- Don't plan to switch Battalions freely. Joining and leaving are gated by the Chronicles.
- Don't hold a Ruin outside a Battalion. The buffs and the summons are paid to Battalion members.
