Jormungand’s Calamity
Jormungand’s Calamity: Declaring War
Nothing on this map is attacked by surprise. Every Town or Ruin needs a declaration of war, a token to pay for it, a waiting period, and Battle Time.
Do this
- Keep Declaration of War Tokens in stock. They recover automatically over time, and more can be bought in the Tribe Warehouse.
- Declare war before the attack, not at it. Each building level has its own waiting period; the World Serpent's is 15 minutes.
- Time the waiting period to end inside your Battle Time Slot. Attacks land only in Battle Time.
- Use the map filter's
Available for War. It shows the Towns you can declare war on.
The rules
- Declaring war on a Ruin or Town costs a number of Declaration of War Tokens. The tokens recover by themselves, or are bought in the Tribe Warehouse.
- When you declare war on buildings of different levels, you wait out each one's own declaration period before the attack can start.
- You can declare war on a Level 1 Town without bordering your Tribe's City Territory.
- Town Marshals and Sentry Towers can be attacked only after you declare war on their Town.
Battle Time
Every Tribe keeps a daily Battle Time Slot and a ceasefire slot. During Battle Time, a neutral Town, or a Ruin another Tribe holds, can be attacked by any Tribe that has declared war on it. A building is taken when its Durability reaches zero during Battle Time, and then enters a protection period.
For tribe leaders
- Declare so the waiting period ends as your Battle Time opens.
- Keep a reserve of tokens for the Ruins' contention days.
Don't
- Don't spend your last tokens on a Town you cannot take in Battle Time.
- Don't march before the waiting period ends. The attack cannot start until then.
